Mazda MX-5 and Mazda2 Ace J.D. Power Quality Study

Mazda MX-5: High-Quality FunIn J.D. Power and Associates’ 2013 Initial Quality Study, the iconic MX-5 Miata sports car and the Mazda2 subcompact both received awards for the highest initial quality in their respective segments. Additionally, Mazda5 ranked second in its segment. This is the seventh time in eight years that MX-5 has rated highest in its segment.

“From the smallest bolt, to the finest stitch, all Mazda vehicles are built to have outstanding initial quality, and to retain that quality long after the vehicle has left the showroom floor,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations. “While MX-5 and Mazda2 are our smallest vehicles in size, they’re our largest in quality. They’re both a demonstration that neither price nor size determines quality, only a dedication to customer satisfaction.”

Next Mazda2 Follows CX-5’s Lead

Mazda2Get ready for a lighter, speedier, and sturdier Mazda2. According to reports from Just-Auto.com and AutoBlog, Mazda has plans to shrink SKYACTIV, meaning an exciting outlook for the company’s comfy compact. A new Mazda2 may not be the only thing around the corner, though: sources speculate that SKYACTIV will sweep through the current lineup over the next few years.

The CX-5 has made waves and won awards, and the brand-new 2014 Mazda6 has adopted much of its platform architecture. Reports claim that this powerful engineering will sweep through all of Mazda’s remaining front-wheel drive vehicles, including a possible replacement for the bulkier CX-9. We’ll keep you up to date on rumors, reports, and any announcements from Mazda!


Mazda Wins Again with SKYACTIV-D Clean Diesel

Mazda 6 - SKYACTIV DMazda’s new SKYACTIV-D Mazda6 is making quite a name for itself in the racing world. Not long after the vehicle’s groundbreaking first victory, the powerful machine has claimed another win! Here’s the scoop from Mazda News.

The breakthrough victory was just a few weeks ago at Road Atlanta. Now, the Mazda team backed it up with another win, this time in the Motor City. Joel Miller and Tristan Nunez drove the #00 Visit Florida Racing SKYACTIV-D Clean Diesel Mazda6 to the GRAND-AM GX class win.  Miller made the pass for the win after a late race yellow.
